I hope your 2018 is off to a good start. Last year was a good year and as the market bounces around, it’s important we focus on “the long view.” Remember that countless studies have shown that it’s time in the market, not timing the market that provides the best returns.
Speaking of the long view, I am in the process of making some changes in my office that will benefit you and our business. You may remember the movie, “My Cousin Vinney” and the repeated reference to the “youts.”
Since some of my key employees have either retired or are near retirement, I felt it was time, from a continuity standpoint, to start training new folks to fill these spots. So the purpose of this letter is to introduce you to our “youts:”
Mitchell Lyon: Many of you may already be familiar with Mitchell and have had some interactions with him. He started with the company last summer as an intern, and in the interim, has become a full-time employee and completed his securities licensing. He is off to a great start. He will be handling trading and customer service operations.
Ashlyn Reece: Ashlyn is a recent college graduate and is from Lufkin. She has worked in our Lufkin branch office and has a great deal of experience in customer service. She will be in touch with you from time to time and will attend some of our meetings to get to know you better. It is her intent to become securities licensed as well.
We are excited about their enthusiasm and after Gloria whips them into shape, they will help carry us forward and provide you with the quality of service you expect. So if you hear from either one of them, please know that it is at my request.
Thank you for your confidence in us and we look forward to serving you.
